Urhan 3-14 St. James 3-08

In their second game of the weekend, our Minors gave everything to seal the points in a SWL in Glengarriff Monday.

Urhan led 3-07 to 0-04 at the break, thanks to another hard-working performance and some clinical football. However St. James' launched a stirring recovery and had the lead cut to three points with five minutes remaining. Urhan, though, were not finished. They found another spurt of energy, finished the stronger, and kicked three unanswered points.

The result leaves Urhan third in the table after two games. Full table available on Carbery GAA site.

Urhan 4-12 Bere Island 2-08

Urhan maintained their interest in this year's Beara League Competition when they came from behind to beat Bere Island on Sunday in Páirc na hAoraí.

Playing against the wind in the first half, Urhan trailed  2-02 to 1-06 at the break, perhaps fortunate to be so close. A second Bere Island goal at the restart made the job harder but, with the wind at their backs, Urhan controlled affairs thereafter.

The result leaves all three competing teams on two points. The Beara Board will now advise as to how the teams will be separated.

Team: Micheál O' Neill; P.J. Cadogan, Donal O' Shea, Gavin Power; Daniel Harrington, David O' Sullivan, David O' Brien; Brian Healy, Enda Lowney, John Paul Sheehan, David McCarthy, Martin O' Neill; Aurian Pickett, Declan Healy, Johhny O' Shea.

Subs: Finbarr Dwyer for Aurian Pickett, Kieran O' Neill for P.J. Cadogan (inj.), D.J. O' Sullivan for David O' Brien, Kieran O' Sullivan for Finbarr O' Dwyer, Aidan O' Sullivan for Martin O' Neill.

Urhan 4-10 CTB 4-07

The Under 12's had a great comeback win against 'Town on Sunday when they came back from fourteen points down to win in this Beara League tie.

Urhan had trailed 3-07 to 1-02 at the break, and conceded a fourth goal on the resumption. Helped by a strong wind at their backs, Urhan took off from there, though, and at the final whistle had done enough to win the match.

Well done to them!
